Someone told me it was a rare coin, but I can’t find any information on it anywhere. It’s in good condition.

Its melt value is 2 cents and there doesn’t seem to be any significant about that year for the penny. I’d ask the person who told you it is rare, what exactly is rare about it, just in case any of us who answered missed anything
The 1963 Canadian cent had a mintage of around 279,000,000 so it is far from rare or scarce. There does not seem to be a rare variety of it. It can still be found in change in Canada.
It is not a rare coin. It’s literally only worth about 2 cents each if you had an entire roll of them. Leave it in the penny tray at the local 711 next time you go in for a slurpy.
