I have a Canadian gold maple with three marks on top of it. It looks like light yellow sharpy marks. How do I get rid of it without damaging the coins?

I would strongly recommend doing nothing. You should take the coin to a local coin expert who specializes in gold coins if you really want to see about removing the yellow marks. Do you know how they got there? There is an acid known as aqua regia which will dissolve the surface of gold which might remove the marks.
