Where is this penny from?
I recently found a foreign penny (in the "rejected" tray at my bank’s coins-to-cash machine actually) and it’s too big to be a Canadian penny.
On the front there’s a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, and it says "Queen Elizabeth II D G, Reg F D, 2001". On the back it says "one penny" and shows a picture of some kind of wrought iron gate with an enlarged crown on top and chains coming down from either side.
BTW, I did know the De Gratia part, but not the rest.

That is a British penny. By the way, "Queen Elizabeth II D G, Reg F D" is abbreviated Latin, and is means "Queen Elizabeth II, by the grace of God, queen of all Britons, defender of the faith."
