Many people forget to follow this process which is why they always end up regretting their buying a coin that is probably not worth the material that it is made of. First and foremost when buying coins you must look for a qualified appraiser or collector who knows how to check the mistakes and quality of the coin, this is especially important if you are a beginner.
You or your appraiser should first check for scratches and abrasions that the coin might have on the surface. Secondly check to see if the coin has been polished recently or has luster, because even though it makes the coin look like brand new it decreases the price coz it hides the pureness of the coin. You must also check for errors on the coin which can make the coin quite valuable. Other things to look out for when buying coins are the wear and tear of the coin, corrosion, and the purity of the coin which proves if it is a fake or counterfeit, you should also check the sharp detail of the coin, as well as find out if it is worth the amount is being asked for it.
If the deal is too sweet don’t take it because there is nothing that is perfect. Unbelievable bargains are usually just that unbelievable. After all this checks you will surely get a coin that you can be proud of.
