Coin Shows; the Chance to See Up Close so Many Coins in One Place
I have to say that coin shows are a fun way to jump right into your new hobby and if you weren’t already interested in coin collecting, after attending coin shows you would be. The chance to see up close so many coins in one place can be enthralling.
You might not get too many coins, and you probably won’t want to spend too much on rare coins if you don’t know what to look for, but going to coin shows can give you a great insight into the world of coin collecting.
If you’re looking to buy coins then the smaller coin shows are the best as they’re not so centered on dealers making the deals between themselves.
You can get your coin collection off to a raring start at these coin shows and you don’t even need to stick with buying modern issue coins if you’re not really interested.
The larger coin shows are good for some of the small stuff, or if you just want to have a look around and get an idea of what your hobby can really be like.
You can take a look around and drool over all the coins that you don’t have, and dream over the ones that you one day hope to own for yourself.
Unfortunately though if you’re living in a small town then you might not get any coin shows close to where you live so you might need to do a bit of traveling in order to get to one.
If you can spare the time though, it’s worth it, and it can be a true joy to watch all those coin obsessed people gathered in one place.
