Could I use a prepaid Visa gift card on Second Life?

I refuse to enter in my credit card online, but for Christmas I received a Visa prepaid gift card that says it can be used anywhere Visa is accepted. I’m worried about Second Life though, does anyone have experience using these cards? Also: this credit card has Canadian Dollars, are Canadian Dollars accepted on Second Life? Because I don’t want to pay the foreign currency rate. If it is not possible to do so, may I have a website (besides AnsheX because I refuse to support the website’s founder) that lets you buy Lindens?
