Currency from Canadian to American?
I currently live in Canada, and in a couple years I am planning on moving to the United States after University. Could I change my money into United States currency when I move into the country?

"Hi" sure….very easy to do in fact and you have a choice of doing it here in Canada at a Bank and you would just buy U,S dollars with your Canadian dollars…or in the U.S.A and also at a Bank !
If you had a debit card from a Canadian Bank and had a Canadian account and used it in the U.S. the money you would receive from the ATM would be U.S dollars !
Hope that helps ya ! *S* (Michael C…)
You can have all your money changed to American by your bank, but you will need to find a bank in the US to use. Bank of America, Citi and Wachovia are large banks that have locations in most cities.
With the volatile economic situation, it would be wise for you to change your money when the Canadian dollar is strong, compared to US currency.
(My guess is that over the next couple of years, the $Can will become stronger, as the US$ slides to its real value.)
I thought every Canadian knew this. The answer is "Yes"
You can convert any of the well known currencies into any other with not a lot of fuss. A chartered bank will give you the best rate.
Or when I moved to the states, I just used my Canadian debit card until the money was gone, while banking my US pay into a US bank.
Yes, you can exchange your money, but why would you want to live in the united states when you live in Canada?
no, they don’t take CAN money
