Did the Royal Canadian Mint produce pennies in 2002?
I’m making a collection of pennies from every year. I have at least 5 or 6 pennies from 2001, 2003, 2004, etc, but not a single 2002 penny. Is it possible that maybe they just didn’t make them that year?
I got one answer: "One thing you need to know is that to celebrate the Queen’s Golden Jubilee, Canadian coins from 2002 were "dual-date". They show the date "1952-2002" and it’s located on the front (or "obverse") side of the coin, to the left and near the bottom of the coin. If you run across any Canadian cents that don’t have the date on the back, check and see if that’s what you’ve got"
Does this mean that there aren’t any pennies simply with the date 2002 on them? There’s only 1952-2002?

That’s correct. They’re all dual-dated. I should have put that in my other response.
