Finding the counterfeit coin?
How do we find a counterfeit coin among four coins and determine whether it is too heavy or too light?

use balance
place one coin each side
1. if balanced, then remove one and replace with another
a. if balanced, then the not weighed coin is the counterfiet and replace it as a one of the coins
i. if counterfiet is higher, it is lighter
ii. if counterfiet is lower, it is heavier
b. if unbalanced, then it is the counterfiet coin.
i. if counterfiet is higher, it is lighter
ii. if counterfiet is lower, it is heavier
2. if unbalanced, then remove lighter coin and replace with another
a. if balanced, then removed coin was counterfiet and lighter
b. if unbalanced, then retained coin is counterfiet and heavier
When dropped it makes a hollow sound.
The writing on the side of it is completely different to those on the real coin
