did canadian coins reall get found with mini transmitters in them or is this something that got misread on yahoo

It was reported on yahoo/news this morning as true. It brings into question how did the coins with transmitters get planted on the people that they wanted to track? I seldom keep change on me for any long period of time. Most people I know throw their loose change in a jar or somewhere in their vehicle to use at toll gates or quick stops.
I for one am a skeptic about this matter.

Very easy to do with new RFID technology… almost anything can be implanted with this EXTREMELY cheap technology. Many companies are already using RFID.
