How many kinds of foreign currency do have in your house?
I just looked in the drawer and we have Danish, Hungarian, Slovaki, Czech, Mexican, Japanese, Chinese, Brazilian, English, Euros (and old francs and marks) and Canadian! Mostly leftover coins we couldn’t exchange back but some folding green (and other colors!) Dang, I forgot, zlotys! Polish zlotys used to be a joke (How many zlotys in a pound? A pound of zlotys!) but not anymore….
What do you have in YOUR wallet? I mean junk drawer….
Since I once collected foreign coins and paper, I imagine around two to three hundred countries, principalities, territories and cities, including defunct states, going back to the Roman Empire.
I have 4
Just 1! We’re boring.
Lessee… I’ve got:
Euros Pounds Mexican pesos Canadian dollars French francs, German D-marks, and Luxembourg francs (all of which have been replaced by the euro.) So… nothing you don’t have, I think, except for the Luxembourg currency. I happened to be passing through on the way from Germany to France. It makes you really appreciate the single currency: there weren’t any border controls, but I did have to withdraw a whole new kind of paper just to buy lunch.
There make be a few Israeli shekels wandering around somewhere.
