Calculate the diameter of a Canadian nickel (assume 100% nickel) give that the coin has a mass of 4.56 grams and is 1.50mm thick.

the volume of the nickel is 4.56/8.91=0.51178 (5sf)
the area of the top (circular part) is 0.51178÷0.15=3.4119 (5sf)
the radius of the coin is square root of (3.4119÷π)=1.0421 (5sf)
therefore diameter of coin is 1.0421*2=2.08cm (3sf)
if you have not realised I have converted everything to cm as 1ml=1cm^3
