How to find total amount of coins an irregular container can hold?

I am trying to figure out how many coins an irregular shape container can hold. I can easily find out the radius and height of any given coin to determine this. In this case, I am trying to determine the amount of coins this container can hold in different currencies since this container can be used to hold different currencies such as Canadian, US etc…

I know that this irregular container can hold 650 nickels and 500 quarters. Given that I know the radius and thickness of a Canadian Toonie, how can I figure out how many Toonie coins this container can hold?

I tried using pi * r ^ ( 2 * h ) where r is the radius and h is the height, but when I try calculating the amount of Canadian dimes it can hold, it only gets me about 50 or so. This is not right since I know physically it can probably hold 800 or so.

Is there a formula where I can figure this out?
pi * (r ^ 2) * h still yields too low of results… this returns 295 canadian dimes. They are small…. ultimately it can hold more for sure.
