is Super Mario 64 for Nintendo DS too hard, can someone help me?
I just got the game a couple of days ago. Is this how the game is, searching for keys and stars? I’ve been stuck on the first level (princess castle) and can’t figure it out. I’m just running all over the castle and it’s getting so frustrating. I passed five stages so I got five keys: the bomb stage, koopa castle stage, ice stage, water stage, and the one with the little islands in water. I don’t know what I’m supposed to do next. There’s no where else I can ge access to. And why when I go back to a stage, it shows two options: a yellow star and a blue-gray star?
Is this what the games going to be like, running all around looking for keys and stars? Going over to the same places all the time trying to find something while driving me nuts?
and what do those red coin things do when you collect all eight? how do I get the red coin in the bomb stage, it’s so high up, how am I supposed to get up there?
I don’t know what to do anymore….

you need to get a certain amount of stars in order to unlock other things, in this case you can play those stages until youve gotten all the stars. the point of the game is to free mario and his friends and eventually princess peach. email me if you have anymore questions. sorry if this doesnt answer your question, by the sound of it you seem farther in the game than me
