Need help with math word problems.?
I have some math word problems here, need some help.
1. What is the smallest number that must be added to 96 to give a number which can be divided exactly by 6, 8 and 15?
2.Two-thirds of the passengers on the plane are female. Three-fifths of the female passengers
are Canadian. One-third of the male passengers are also Canadian. What fraction of the
passengers are Canadian?
3. A duck and a goose together weigh 10.5 kg. The weight of the duck is 3⁄4 of the weight of the goose. How much does the goose weigh?
4. A bookstore placed two orders with a publisher. The first order was for 12 history books and 4 geography books, for the total cost of 60. The second order was for 6 history books and 4 geography books, and the total cost was $ 640. What is the price of one history book? What is the price of one geography book?
5. Robert has 10 coins consisting of nickels and dimes. If the total value of his coins is 70 cents, how many coins of each type does he have?
