paypal currency?
So I bought an item for US, as a total cost and shipping. Except I use canadian currency, do I send money in my paypal account of and change the option to US? or find out what US is in Canadian and send money in canadian, but would’nt that just give the seller canadian currency?
Im new at this. I know send money on paypal, but what happens if I click the pay now button on the ebay site? He’s given me an email to send the payment, would’nt that just mean "send money"?

PayPal converts the funds. Which means you will have to fund your PayPal account with the Canadian dollar amount that is equivalent to the US Dollar amount. When you send the payment, PayPal will convert the payment from Canadian to US. The seller will then receive the payment in US currency.
I’m not familiar with the mechanics of payments. If the auction was bid in US $, you need to pay in US $. $300CAN is NOT what you bid.
I believe the transaction will take place in the sellers currency and your bank will do the conversion. In your bank statement you’ll see something like this:
PayPal $32.17 CAD
$30 USD
Where $32.17 is whatever your banks converts to Canadian from US $30.
