Why Do Liberals Resist Returning To Real, Constitutional US Money?
The Constitution says the Federal government is "to coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures" and "to provide for the Punishment of counterfeiting the Securities and current Coin of the United States".
What would be wrong with abolishing liberal, progressive Democrat President Woodrow Wilson’s fake money and return to gold and silver coin, as the Constitution mandates?
Ace doesn’t get the concept. You can still have your Visa card and banks.
Mattle doesn’t have a clue what happened to our money in 1913.
They defend the FED and don’t know what it is. They just don’t get it and won’t take the time to find out what the FED really is.

I am not a liberal, but a republican. I am not really answering your question, but asking you one. Do you have any questions that you would like to ask where you have the underlying facts and issues correct? So far, I haven’t seen one though I haven’t read all of your questions, so you may surprise me.
Sounds good to me. When can we start?
Are you serious? In this day and age?
It’s much cheaper to produce paper money than gold coins. Kind of common sense…
Also, technically paper money is still gold. Each bill is representative of a fraction of a gold bar in the Fed.
Lol. After reading your first paragraph, I was going to ask if the government has ever prosecuted itself for counterfeiting the coin of the United States for printing money that wasn’t backed by anything!!
Because we are so far off of the gold standard it would crash the dollar value and our economy if we tried to go back now. Plus, the only reason gold has value is because people believe it does, the same thing with paper money, etc.
Liberals do not have a very good concept of ‘money’. Leave ‘em alone on this one.
To them, it’s usually someone else’s so they don’t really give it much thought.
I’m in. Repeal everything wicked Wilson did!
You have the logic of a 3-year-old.
I don’t see anywhere in that Constitutional quote where it says that the coin must be made of gold or silver.
The change of metals has little to do with "liberals" and more to do with the fact that the value of the coin was becoming less & less than the gold/silver it was made of due to inflation. It would be too costly to produce a 10 cent dime made out of real gold these days.
And for those talking about the "gold standard" of which money was based; it was Republican President Richard Nixon who got rid of the gold standard in the early 70′s.
You Cons just hate facts.
I’m not sure that I want to run around with a pocket full of gold coins I kind of like the flexibility of paper bills thanks though.
Uh, WRONG. Actually, the US decoupled the dollar from gold standard in 1973. It seems that the "Liberal" you’re talking about is Richard Nixon.
Also: Between 1914-1919, most countries suspended the gold standard so they could print enough money to pay for their involvement in the war. After the war, countries returned to a modified gold standard.
Add: Why do cons resist using facts in their arguments?
Those gold bars are just to heavy to carry around.Besides they don’t fit in those credit card slots.
YOU JEST?
IT KEEPS THEM HONEST
