Why is everything a lot more expensive in canada?
The us price for gas is in Canadian Dollars
Gas: Canada - .02/L U.S - {content}.77/L Difference- 32.47%
Other things average around 10% difference.
Our dollar is not worth 90 cents and definitely not worth 70 cents.
Another note, countries with a lower currency value, on avergae have cheaper products. So why isnāt this true for Canada?

There is currently about a 5 percent difference between US and Canadian dollars.
Keep in mind that gas prices are never a good basis for comparison from one country to another. Most of the difference in prices is due to the different taxes charged in each country.
Also, if Iām doing the math right, your $0.77/liter for US gas works out to $2.91 a gallon. Around where I live, gas is well under $2.80 a gallon. Your comparison is really not accurate.
