I would really like to know where you got your info for it sounds like an old wives tale. To know someone made only 91 in 1900 and only 31 have been found is a real wild tale. It sure beats out the 1804 silver dollars that got lost in the river story. First of all even if this is some what true, which is a great stretch of the imagination, it is against the law to even have it, let alone sell it. A lot of silver dollars have been counterfeited over the years and most are under weight, only the rare dollars would be close and then there may be ways of telling through surface marks. The 1900-O dollar is far from being rare or even scarce. I have never heard of a diagnostic to tell a fake one. If you wish send it to ANACS and they will tell you, go to http://www.ANACS.com for a submission blank. They will return it to you and may offer to buy it to add to their counterfeit coins.
hmmm i dont know.If i had one i would go to an expert
I think you are talking about the 1900 O Micro O Morgan Dollar. It turned out to be a counterfeit instead of a rare VAM. Values depend on condition, but they are still collectable. VamView, a popular price guide, has value ranging from $750 in VF to $3,700 in AU.
