How do I make Loonies shiny again?
So it’s a 2009 coin that already pretty clean. It’s a Centennial coin for the Montreal Canadians and I think it would look really nice if it was shinier. Also, I’m looking for way to clean it with things around the house. I know Brasso is really good, but if you could give me some ideas where i don’t have to out and spend money that’s would be great. ![]()
I’m not looking to sell it so even if cleaning it makes it less valuable it doesn’t matter to me. I just want it to look cool.

YOU NEVER WANT TO CLEAN COINS!
cleaning or rubbing a coin will greatly detract from the value you could turn a $1000 coin into a $100 coin just by "getting the dirt off", or "making it shiny". never clean a coin thinking that you’ll increase the value. cleaning coins really ruins the fun for younger generations who are getting into coin collecting.
