One pound = two Canadian Dollars. A half crown is 12 1/2% of one pound. So it is worth 12 1/2%
of two Canadian Dollars.
A half crown? The Half Crown is no longer used as British currency. The half-crown was a denomination of British money worth two shillings and sixpence, being one-eighth of a pound. The half-crown was first issued in 1549, in the reign of Edward VI. No half-crowns were issued in the reign of Mary, but from the reign of Elizabeth half-crowns were issued in every reign except Edward VIII, until the coins were discontinued in 1967.
However, as of January 12, 2007, one pound was 2.29018 Canadian dollars. This would make a shilling (if it still existed) equal to 2.29018 / 20 dollars, which works out to 11.4509 cents. A crown would be 5 times this, or 57.2545 cents. A half-crown would be 28.62725 cents.
