Can someone explain this Canadian coin catalog to me?

Okay, I have "A Charlton Standard Catalogue: Canadian Coins Vol. 1 65th edition. ISBN: 978-0-88968-341-9. This is my first Canadian coin book and I don’t understand the pricing listed in it for the coins. For example it had a 1995 Loonie at "15." in MS-64 condition. Does that mean 15 cents over the face value? Or 15 dollars? It’s like that for all the coins in the book.… Continue reading

Did the Royal Canadian Mint produce pennies in 2002?

I’m making a collection of pennies from every year. I have at least 5 or 6 pennies from 2001, 2003, 2004, etc, but not a single 2002 penny. Is it possible that maybe they just didn’t make them that year?

I got one answer: "One thing you need to know is that to celebrate the Queen’s Golden Jubilee, Canadian coins from 2002 were "dual-date". They show the date "1952-2002&quot… Continue reading

As an American do you like?

I’ve gotten plenty of them in Ohio and for some reason I feel like I shouldn’t use them, lol.

What is a good website to find info….?

about ALL of the minted Canadian coins minted, especially 2006-present? Past sites I’ve been on get very vague about what coins have been minted. For example, there were 18 different quarters minted in 2008 and 13 in 2009, but I only have 3 for 2010. This is my problem with all Canadian coin types. Can someone suggest a good website to get this info? Thanks!… Continue reading

Canadian coin collector advice needed.?

I have a collection of U.S. and Canadian coins. I have enjoyed using the coin albums made by Dansco for my U.S. coins, but they do not produce albums for Canadian coins. I can use their blank pages, but getting them printed professionally is tricky. So I am curious to see if there are any Canadian coin collectors out there and ask which albums you use? How close to Dansco… Continue reading
