10 boxes of 12 golf balls, one is counterfeit…?
Regulation balls weigh 1.75oz and counterfeit weigh 1.85oz. Using just one weighing, how can you find out which box has the fake golf balls?
I know this is sort of similar to the whole ten bags of gold coins problem (http://www.justriddlesandmore.com/Weighty/weightytwo.html). However, in this variation, there are 12 balls per box, and not ten… Will this effect the solution at all?

the box that weighs the most is counterfeit
it seems as though you mis-wrote the question/puzzle and the link doesn’t work either…
the amount of balls makes no difference, you would still put in 1 ball from box 1, 2 from box 2 etc. and this way, depending on how overweight the total is, you simply divide that number by .1 (the amount more it weighs for the fake balls) and it will give the number of overweight balls, this number will correspond to a certain box. so if the total was supposed to be 100, and it is instead 100.5, you know it is .5 overweight, this means 5 balls are heavier, thus box 5 must have the fake balls
