1944 canadian nickel?
i have a 1944 nickel in good condition. only a scratch on the back (small). its in awesome condition other than that.
i’m just curious as to if it’s a rare coin or if it’s worth anything.

I see we have some strange values again here no dealer would sell something for 17 cents nor would he pay such an uneven figure. In Grade very fine the coin trends for $1 in extra fine around $4. A trends value is an average of what a dealer sells a coin for and is usually a little high. The small scratch would take it out of the extra fine category most likely but the coin needs to be graded by a dealer. The 1944 nickel had a mintage around 14,000,000 so it is not a scarce date. it was minted during World War II so has historic value.
Maybe,I would go look at coins on e-bay and see if you can find it and what they are selling it for. Good luck:)
