I have some old money. What is it worth?
I have a small collection of old and foreign money, and I wonder if it is worth anything. All money is American unless otherwise specified.
1941 wheat penny
1973 Canadian bill
2002 Bahamian bill
1976 bicentennial quarter
2000 Bahamian dime
two 1979 Susan B. Anthony dollars
1987 Bahamian dime
plus some Sacagawea dollar coins and stylized Jefferson nickels, but I think those are just worth face value
Oh, and a 1997 JFK half dollar coin. That’s probably face value too.

The 1941 cent has more historical value than a monetary one. That is the year World war II started for the U.S. Americans did not have a good Christmas that year. The 1973 $1 Canadian note was issued starting in June of 1974. It has a book value of $4 in crisp uncirculated condition. Since Canada does not issue $1 notes anymore it may be wise to just hold onto it.The coins from the Bahamas are to new to be worth anything as a collectors item. The only 1979 SBA dollar worth anything is the wide rim/near date variety the rim of the coin is wider and the date almost touches the rim. That coin sells for $25 and up. The only Sac dollars worth much are some of the proof issues. The 1776-1976 quarter has value only if it is mint state or proof same for the 1/2 dollar and it is not much. In the realm of coin collecting and numismatics 1941 is not old. There are treasures out there so keep looking.
$4.96 for the items you specifically mentioned.
Go to a coin shop and they can help you find approx. value, only a professional can tell you exactly how much the money is worth
Collect it!
like a book of all the old money you got. (vintage) or something like that. And soon, it’ll be worth something more than the actual thing …
Keep Collecting!
All of the coins you mention are still in circulation, with the possible exception of the 1941 penny. As that is all copper, which pennies no longer are, it’s the only one that might have more than face value.
In order to collect successfully, you need to know more about what was happening when certain coins or bills were minted and printed. For instance, I have a mint set of coins from 1963. Although I am not a collector, I seem to recall that 1963 was the last year that silver coins were silver, and not a silver/copper sandwich, or, later, zinc/copper pennies. If you have paper money, look for the words "silver certificate" to increase value, as those were from a time when our currency was actually backed by metal.
And finally, you don’t say how old you are, but trust me….coins from the 70′s are NOT old!
