Rare Coins?
I have a couple of coins that I found in my room while I was cleaning up and I was wondering if they are worth anything.
1979 Susan B. Anthony Silver Dollar
1943 Liberty Dime
1945 Lincoln Penny
2000 Sacagawea Golden Dollar
1973 Elizabeth II Canadian Nickel
1983 Elizabeth II Canadian Penny
1962 Elizabeth II Canadian Penny
1979 Elizabeth II Canadian Penny
I obviously don’t know much about coins but I would appreciate if you can tell me what to do with them; either keep them or throw them away or something. Thanks for your comments.

The Anthony Dollar is copper-nickel cladded, not silver. It’s common and worth its face value if circulated. There’s a "near-date" variety(rim and date close) of the 1979 dollar that’s valued about $20 and up in uncirculated. See if your dollar is of this variety. As for the 1943 dime, it’s 90% silver and not a scarce date. Value is about $2 in average circulated. The 1945 Lincoln cent, in average circulated grade is less than $0.05, while the Sac Dollar is worth face value. The Canadian coins carries a small premium in Choice Uncirculated grade, but worth their face if circulated. My advise to you is to keep them or pass them to someone interested, perhaps a young collector. They may not be worth much to you, but enough to bring enjoyment to many beginners.
The liberty Dime is probably the best find, although the other American coins are worth keeping, too. The Canadian ones aren’t worth much more than face value. It’s hard to put any value on them without knowing the condition of the coins, though. If there’s a coin dealer in your area, they would be able to put a value on them.
They are probably, almost certainly worth face value. Sorry.
Well I would not throw them away and would keep them. None of them are of great value at this time. They are the start of a coin collection and maybe in the future you can add to them. Coins from Canada are collected by a lot of Collectors here in the U.S.. Your 1943 Winged Liberty dime is from a time when this country was at war, so it has a history. Things happened in the other years you have also and maybe mean something to you. My point is, coins are a look back at history and most have a story to tell.
