Why do people counterfeit bills instead of coins? Wouldn’t that be easier and safer for criminals?

The vlaue that a coin holds is much less. So I think it owuld not be worth the effort and money that might go into counterfeiting coins. you would need a lotttt of coins if you want to do that on a very large scale.
However, for bills, once you have the paper and printing taken care of, you can virtually do this for any amount as the higher values are avialable only on bills.
it would be to much trouble & cost to much money to conterfeit coins
Its easier to print paper into bills than mint metal into coins. Its more profitable also looking at the huge value difference between coins and bills.
