I have a coin that says TOA LAND CORPORATION. It's the size of a quarter. Does anyone know what it is?
God forbid you try to pay for something with a Canadian penny, but I got this change back instead of a quarter.

It is an advertising token and is not a coin. You got taken, for it is not legal tender, it’s just a token. As for Canadian coins it depends on where you live. Here in the north country of New Hampshire we get them all the time and no big deal.
It’s probably an advertising gimmick. I found this thru ask.com
TOA puts the wharf in waterfront. The company specializes in developing coastal industrial zones, providing architecture, civil engineering (both land and marine), and dredging and reclamation services. Its marine division, more than 40% of sales, builds waterfront facilities (commercial and industrial), warehouses and power plants. Its land division builds highways, bridges, tunnels, and other transportation infrastructure, as well as hotels, schools, apartment complexes, airports, and medical facilities. It also has architecture and real estate operations. The company has operations in Asia/Pacific as well as in Europe. TOA is unrelated to Japan’s other Toa Corp., an audio engineering and equipment firm.
