My house has been burglarized .How do I determing value ?
I have no clue of some of the items that have been stolen .Silver jewellery box and some antique coins (I don’t even remember how many there was or what they were ) I have inherited from relatives who is no longer alive .I have never been into collecting them and kept it for my son who is only 13 yet.It was around 40 coins ,The only thing I remember there was unique 1/2 cent and 3 cent ,Some silver coins .Jewellery box had some engraved design in style of art Deco .How do I figure out the fare value for insurance claim?

To determine the value of collectibles, for insurance purposes, you can look at ebay, but if you don’t know anything about the coins, it will be hard to discover.
I would suggest, just look at as many coins on the site as possible, in an effort to find some that look alike. Without any documentation, it is very unlikely the insurance will honor your claim, anyway.
I have made it a point to photograph all my belongings and save the photos to disc. The most valuable jewelry items I have are insured separately with complete documentation (and their own special premium charge).
