Do you collect anything?
Like stamps, coins, or anything else?
I guess I didn’t tell you what I collect.
I collect tin cans, earasers and porciline dolls.

I collect hummingbirds, they must either be of natural coloring or no coloring like glass or china. I also took over my husbands collection of gnomes.

I inherited a third of my grandmother’s teacup collection and then started adding my own teacups to it when I have special occasions
What I wonder is how people manage to not collect anything. I don’t try to collect things but I just do. I collect postcards, baseball cards, lighthouses, teacups, Christmas ornaments that have to do with family hobbies, salt and pepper shakers… Once people find out I like something they just give it to me! However I do think it is nice when people collect something because it makes gift giving so much easier.
I have collected snow globes for about 6 years. I have 21 now!
Can you beat that!?
Rubber bands. I have thousands. The ones I haven’t yet added to my ever-growing rubber band ball, I put in the freezer to keep them from deteriorating. Did you know that? The rubber breaks down and eventually the band will disintegrate.
I collect Addams Family related stuff, and things from The Crow movie. Also, cemetery books, coffins, witches, pre-raphaelite pics, teacup and saucer sets, gargoyles and probably several other things I cant think of right now. I love the hunt! One day, I hit my peak, I found a Brandon Lee (Crow) pic, an Addams Family colouring book (not used), and a gargoyle, cheap as! It was awesome and I have chased the high ever since! U didnt say what u collect…
I was VERY active in stamp-collecting in my teens, but it’s been just a matter of adding the new stamps as they come out since 1982. I then collected the local change and small bills from every country I visited (Germany, England, Canada, Mexico, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, The Philippines, Kuwait, Bahrain, Singapore, Australia, the old Soviet Union, and Russia).
These days I’m still collecting model aircraft, ships, and armor (one room) as well as N-scale locomotives, rolling stock, and buildings.
I have huge libraries of books, CD’s, and DVD’s… and a collection of 45 Zippo lighters and squadron/ ship patches from my Navy days.
Well, I say I collect asian ball jointed dolls, which I do, but I’m actually more thrilled with the props that I buy for my dolls that I use in my photo stories! I like to do stories from the 1930-1950 eras, so I try to find furniture and household items that are from that period. It’s not as easy as it seems. You can get anything you want if you are looking for doll scaled items in a contemporary vein, but the vintage stuff is really hard to find.
So, in addition to the dolls, I also collect the props!
