Can you identify this Canadian coin?
I have a canadian coin that is minted with the date 1966. On one side there is this date with the words canada and dollar with a picture of a canoe. On the other side is a maple leaf with the word Canada printed around this.
I thought all Canadian coins from this time carried the image of Queen Elizabeth II.
Can anyone help identify this coin?

The 1966 Canadian dollar had the Queen on the obverse and the reverse had the 2 Voyageurs in the canoe with the Canada above them and the date under them with the word dollar at the bottom. You must have what is called a Trade Dollar that are made by private mints for towns or organizations, to sell for events in their areas. There must be more writing on the coin then you have told us. Best I can do without seeing it.
Some pennies have diffrent pictures on the back even if it is suppose to be the queen sometimes they like to change it. But it is probably 1 cent if it has the maple leaf.
I believe that is a Canadian coin
i dont understand why the Queen isnt on it, but it could be a collector’s coin. If you visit a local museum or somthing, they could help you identify it. if not, there is always the Royal Canadian Mint in Ottawa
