How many kinds of foreign currency do have in your house?
I just looked in the drawer and we have Danish, Hungarian, Slovaki, Czech, Mexican, Japanese, Chinese, Brazilian, English, Euros (and old francs and marks) and Canadian! Mostly leftover coins we couldn’t exchange back but some folding green (and other colors!) Dang, I forgot, zlotys! Polish zlotys used to be a joke (How many zlotys in a pound? A pound of zlotys!) but not anymore….

in northern minnesota i used to see canadian coins all the time. loonies and two-nies and quarters were taken and given as change and legal tender. maybe it’s not legal, but it was the norm.
